Still using Internet Exployer! Why?
Most people haven't for over two years!
I have been compensating for Willie Gates for over fifteen years! That's enough!
As an example, the Venice High School background does not scroll for FireFox viewers.
|
Let it be know today, that every Venice High School classmate has total access to our VHS'53 Class Site.
All classmates have access to the Internet via the web connections of their siblings, their friends,
various organizations and our public libraries.
They can start with just googling .... "Venice High School 1953"

Our password routine works! Especially, if you don't know the password.
Second, It works if you do know the password(s). There is an exception to the latter, and the schema will still fail.
If you have choosen to alter your computer's system parameter to change a "single click"
into a "double click" ( this is an exception to normal mouse operations), then the routine will pass you right thru the
password prompt, the password entry, and sending of the password for evaluation.
Three of your classmates had there system setting altered ... there is an obvious solution.

VHS Class of 1953 Web Communications
|
Toni (Wilson), Sharon (Massey) and I have been working with Ron Reed who has his PASSCo domain.
Ron has come up with a new communica- tion schema site (below) just for our class of VHS'53.
Get on it and try it out. You'll like the sites. - Lou Cicco

Would you prefer our reading your auto-biography, or sadly a brief obituary?
So! Why not tell us what you`ve been doing for nearly six decades?
Our password schema and thus access has failed for two classmates. Contact Ron!
Our password protection features will fail if you have your double click mouse setting changed the single click!

VHS Class of 1953 Contact Registry - Why?
Something new and neccessary for more and better class communications!
Hello VHS Classmates of 1953,
We are gathering "contact" information in a new VHS Contact Registry.
We would like ALL classmates to complete the Registry form.
The data is e-mailed to and held in confidence by four classmates.
A sample form is provided Here, and within the Classroll page.
The operative Registry form is password protected and is not, in itself,
publically accessible. The Registry address is documented above.
Your Registry content may be presented on the Classroll page where
access is password protected. Accuracy is the classmate's responsibilty.
The form permits options regarding what you wish to have posted.
This Registry is a communication necessity. If you have further questions,
just e-mail Ron for assistance. Thank you all for your support. - Lou Cicco
|
|
If you haven't used the "Free Pass" in your E-mail, then Click the Image!
There are one hundred and ten classmates on this site with active emails.
A greater number of classmates appear not to have Internet access.
An weekly on-going e-mail effort is underway to establish a current digital Class Registry!
Each classmate will be requested via e-mails to update the Contact Registry data form just once.
The function of our Web Site and Registry is to promote communication
of our Venice High School Classes of 1953 beyond Southern California.
|
|
A classmate's registration will result in their having fewer requests to do so!
|
|

If you are having troubles with the above linkages, then ask a classmate or contact Ron.
Remember, those classmates not on the Internet can find a Public Libary to do so.
Some of our classmates have no experience on the Web! Give them some Help.
VHS'53 classmates can have web and class access thru others email addresses.

VENICE HIGH MYRNA LOY PROJECT INFO
Project Update - April 24, 2009
Hi Ron,
We are building a new web site, and I've been putting my efforts on that site with the Myrna updates.
Hoping for the new site soon.
Re: the project.
We have been meeting with LAUSD on a regular basis, and hitting many road blocks.
However, there is a new complex manager for our school and we are meeting on Monday the 27th.
When we spoke he didn't see any problems with our installation dates and I'm hoping that will continue on our meeting Monday.
We plan to install the base and plants in July 2009 and the statue Winter Break December 2009.
With the dedication early 2010.
The artist, Ernest, is working on the 7' piece as I type. I talk to him weekly,
we are shooting a documentary on the project too! It's exciting!
Thanks for your inquiry and support.

Membership Requirments are simple. Tell us what has happen since our graduation day.
Download/Save Editor to Your Desktop
Type Your Bio
E-mail Bio and Narriated Photos
- First try the Download of the Text Editor to the Desktop (link above).
- You could use the Notepad on your computer, but NOT Wordpad.
- Try this new editor. It is just a typewrite emulation. Save files as *.txt .
- You likely know e-mailing with attachments. E-mail the file and photos.
- No word processing files (*.doc, *.wpf, *.pdf, *.wdp).
They are `printer` files.
A good start on what to place in your bio can start with the "masking" and "pasting" the text from Toni's
"Book of Memories" project below into the Notepad+ editor.
Toni wrote to tell me she had only a dozen
classmates responded to her request. Her great idea just needs to be accomplished.
Or, you can freelance what you want to say, like Betty did.
Or, do as I and the "Captain" did. We had bios all prepared, and were willing to share.
You know as well as I do, most of us are not tooooooo busy to not to be involved.

If you still need to know more about what to do, then
e-mail me. - Ron

Northwest Mini-Reunion - Summer 2005
Photo back: Fred Wantz, Jack North, Abel Rodriguez
Front row: Carol North, Pat and Jim Fox.
|

Fred Wantz, Jack and Carol North, while driving down the Oregon Coast,
arranged with Jim and Pat Fox for this get-together at their home in Coquille.
Abel Rodriguez, just back from a trip of his own, drove in from Roseburg
to join the group. All are doing well, feeling great, and enjoying their golden years.
I saw Abel two years ago, but it has been 52 years since I've seen Fred and Jack.
It was really nice getting together with them all on this lovely day in Oregon. - Jim Fox

|
The first East Coast Mini-Reunion.
Tuesday, June 26, 2005 Rusty, LaDonna, Ron and Priscilla met
at the "Rollins Retreat" in Maggie Valley
on the misty slopes of the Smokey Mountains. The afternoon consisted of chatting about what happen at VHS
and the 52 years since.
The trip to the Cherokee Harrah's Casino was a mountianeous ride "up and down" US19.
An hour of "losing nickels and quarters at the slots" was enjoyed before four nice steak dinners at the hotel.
We vowed to see if we could establish our "across the Big Muddy" mini-reunions.
So, those grads that have migrated east should try to meet more often.

Leroy Syrop (W53) and his wife, Yupin, visited Jim Fox (W53) in Oregon twice this year.
These photos are from our first get-together in June, 2004.
