Note the TCAA's 24 hour resouces related to our TC '53 Alumnus. 
    Where has this initative come from recently?  And, more importantly,   Why?
.... when these apparent resources were ignored for use on the previous web site for so many years?   Think of all that was lost to all of us in all Alumni classes!
     Hopefully, now there may be more "alumni"  found in the Tiffin  Columbian  "Alumni"  Association!  That was all that I asked last summer (2008)   .... you don't want to hear the "quote" I recieved in reply.   No, you really don't.

William "Bill" Wolf died on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Bill lived in Heath, OH. He is survived by his three children and his sister Beverly Simons of Tiffin. A graveside service is today, Monday in Canal Winchester.
Richard E. Fredritz, 73, of Marion, and previously of Tiffin, passed away early in the morning Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Marion General Hospital with his family by his side.
Richard married Patricia J. (Matthews) Fredritz June 25, 1960. Richard was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Tiffin, the son of Carl and Thelma (Ringle) Fredritz. Shortly following graduation from Columbian High School in 1953, Richard enlisted in the Coast Guard, where he served for almost four years. He then worked at Erie Railroad, Marion Power Shovel and Ohio Department of Transportation from where he retired. He also attended Ohio Northern University.
James U. Kirchner, 73, of Schonhardt St., Tiffin,

Jim died at 1:10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at his residence.  In 1956, he married Thelma (Wyrich) at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York, and she survives.  Jim attended Calvert High School and graduated from Columbian High School in 1953.  He was a member of the United States Marines, serving from 1953 to 1961.  In 1993, Jim retired from General Electric as a supervisor, after 33 years of service.

Tim Beitel, 73, of Tumacacori, Ariz.

 Tim lost his brave fight against cancer Sept. 25, 2008. He was a 1953 graduate of Columbian High School, GE Apprentice School and Purdue University.
  Tim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and after he was honorably discharged, he went back to work for GE in Bloomington, Ill. He was transferred to Rhode Island as an assistant manager for GE and then went to Nogales, Mexico, as a plant manager for the company until he retired. Tim was a member and paramedic for Tubac and Rio Rico, Ariz., Search and Rescue teams.
  Survivors include his wife, Carmelita, whom he married Dec. 27, 1995; a son, Chip Beitel of McKinney, Texas; four grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Beitel of Lake Wylie, S.C., and Ed Beitel of Sterling Heights, Mich.; two sisters, Roxie Shaull and Lois Burgh, both of Tiffin; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Bernice Beitel; and a son, Matthew Beitel.
  There is a memorial service today, Oct. 4, 2008, at Rio Rico, Ariz., Fire Station District 2. Condolences may be sent to his wife, Carmelita Beitel, P.O. Box 160, Tumacacori, AZ 85640. ... Source John Unger
Daniel D. Stumpp

      Daniel D. Stumpp, 75, of 7 Beechwood Dr., Apt. 203, Tiffin, formerly of Bloomville, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 21, 2008, at Ruffing Family Care Center of Bloomville.
      On March 7, 1933, he was born to Dewey and Corinne (Souder) Stumpp of Tiffin.  He married  Mary Beard, July 15, 1978, and they later divorced.
      Survivors include his former wife,  Mary Beard of Tiffin;  two sons,  Lonnie (Kathy) Beard of Bloomville and  Christopher W. Beard of Tiffin;  a brother,  Robert L. (Betty) Stumpp of Canton;  and
an aunt,  Tillie Baran of Indian River, Michigan,  and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister at birth and a brother,  William Stumpp.
      Mr. Stumpp was a former member of the Tiffin and Attica Eagles,
the Bloomville Lions Club,  an honorary life member of the Caulfield American Legion Post 434-Bloomville  and a former member of the Bloomville Volunteer Fire Departyment.  He worked for 51 years at the Bloomville Gazette as a printer, retiring in 2006.
      Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008,  at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville,  with the Rev. Jeff King and the Rev. Cathy Wirth co-officiating.
      Burial is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.  Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the Bloomville Fire Department and EMS.
